Trips

Each year there are a couple of road trips we take as a college group in addition to the Fall and Spring retreats. We carpool up to Kansas City in March. Then in August, we stuff ourselves into big fifteen passenger vans and take off on a fun-filled caravan trip to Denver, Colorado.

Kansas City Trip: We leave from the Indian Hills Church parking lot around 6:00pm on a Friday and arrive in Kansas City around 9 or 10pm. We usually end up hanging around the hotel exploring the place and playing games...The next morning we head out bright and early to go shopping in Overland Park. After an exciting day of shopping until we are about to drop (literally) we gather together for a fabulous meal at the Cheesecake Factory. Sunday morning we visit Mission Road Bible Church in Kansas City for Church. Afterwards we stop somewhere to eat and start on our way back to Lincoln.

Denver Trip: We leave from the Indian Hills Church parking lot around 8:00am on a Friday and take off for some Denver fun! When we arrive in Denver we pretty much go straight to a baseball game, depending on who is playing we might do something else that evening instead. Saturday is our water park/amusement park day...which one we go to depends on the weather and what people have a hankering to do. In the evening we go out to eat at a nice restaurant and then go back the hotel and hang out till wee hours of the night. Sunday morning we pack up and begin our journey back to Lincoln.

Each of these trips last about three days...they are fun, fast weekend trips and are most definitely worth it!
